Entry into the Indian market is getting closer
Tesla may intensify its efforts to enter the Indian market in the near future. The country has finally introduced a policy that will reduce import taxes on electric vehicles (EVs). Automakers will have to commit to investing at least US$500 million in India and commit to setting up local manufacturing within three years. At the same time, the level of local supply components for production should be 25% by the third year and 50% by the fifth year of production. If automakers agree to meet these obligations, they will receive import duty reductions, down to just 15%, for vehicles costing $35,000 or more. This paves the way for Tesla to begin deliveries and later production in India.
FSD v12.3 causes an avalanche of positive reviews
Last week, Tesla began widespread deployment of FSD v12.3 in the US. Based on AI, the system delighted the owners. The Tesla team says that progress will now happen very quickly, especially when compared with the speed of development up to this point.
Cybertruck arrives in Germany
Tesla has finally delivered the Cybertruck to Europe. The steel beast arrived in Giga Berlin earlier this week and was warmly welcomed by the factory staff gathered around. The truck arrived in Europe after already starting its tour in China and other Asian countries. At the moment it remains unknown whether it will be available for sale in Europe, but for now, it will be an excellent advertisement for the company's other products.
4680 battery cell production reaches new records
Tesla boasted about the progress of the production of new battery cells in Giga Texas. As of last week, the factory was able to produce enough cells to produce over 1,000 Cybertrucks. This means that Giga Texas produced about 1.4 battery cells. According to the latest estimates, Tesla produces between 525 and 700 Cybertrucks per week. This means that the reserve can be used to continue the gradual ramp-up of electric truck production.
