How to Analyze This Report

Listing Status & Date

This badge shows the date the car was last confirmed online.
• Active: Seen within the last 15 days. It is likely still for sale.
• Likely Sold: Not seen for over 2 weeks. The listing was likely removed because the car sold.

Spotting Price Drops

The "Price Curve" chart connects historical listing points. A steep downward trend usually indicates the seller is desperate to clear inventory. If you see a flat line for 60+ days, the seller is likely stubborn and refusing to adjust to the market.

Tesla Buyer's Cheat Sheet

Federal Used EV Tax Credits

Many used EVs sold by licensed dealers qualify for federal tax credits. These incentives often depend on a specific Price Cap set by the government. If the "Latest List Price" is slightly above the current threshold, negotiate down to unlock these savings.

Tip: For example, if the government price cap is $25,000 and you see a car listed for $25,500, negotiating the price down by just $501 does not just save you $501—it could unlock a $4,000 tax credit, making your total savings over $4,500.

Autopilot Hardware (HW3 vs HW4)

Autopilot performance depends on the computer version. Check the "Date First Seen" or Model Year. Vehicles built after April 2019 usually have HW3 (Full Self-Driving Capable), while newer models (2023+) utilize HW4.

Battery Tech: LFP vs. NCA

Standard Range Model 3/Y (2021+) often use LFP batteries which should be charged to 100%. Long Range / Performance models use NCA/NCM and should limit daily charging to 80% to preserve battery health.

The 8-Year Warranty

Even if the "Basic Warranty" is expired, the Battery & Drive Unit Warranty typically lasts 8 years (usually up to 100k or 120k miles). Older models are often still covered for major powertrain failure.
