Tesla Cars Deliver Themselves to Customers
Tesla has reached a major milestone: a car from the production line delivered itself to a customer. The company released a video showing the details to the public. It was reported that during the self-delivery, the car reached speeds of up to 72 mph, and was driven on public roads. Elon Musk also said that there was no person inside the car to monitor the process.
“There were no people in the car at all and no remote operators in control at any point. FULLY autonomous! To the best of our knowledge, this is the first fully autonomous drive with no people in the car or remotely operating the car on a public highway,” he wrote on X.
