Discovering Tesla’s Secrets: Useful Features and Fun Easter Eggs

Tesla cars are at the forefront of technology, packed with numerous hidden functions that many drivers may not be aware of. These features go from being super handy to downright fun and whimsical, adding both practicality and a touch of fun to the driving experience.

Among the most useful features are Dog Mode and the Trunk Secret Compartment. Dog Mode ensures your pet stays comfortable and safe in the car by maintaining a pleasant temperature and displaying a message on the screen to let passersby know that your furry friend is okay. The Trunk Secret Compartment offers additional storage space, perfect for keeping valuables hidden and secure.

On the lighter side, Tesla also includes some entertaining easter eggs. For instance, you can drive on a Rainbow Road, inspired by the classic Mario Kart game, which transforms your driving screen into a colorful, animated road. Additionally, you can replace the standard horn sound with quirky alternatives, adding a personal touch of humor to your Tesla.

1. Model Y Secret Trunk Storage

What if I tell you that Jowua just released a Trunk Liner that allow you to upgrade your Tesla storage space by uncovering a whole new storage compartment in your Tesla Model Y.

Before, your usual trunk liners will always prevent you from accessing this secret compartment located in the front area of your trunk. But, with this floors Liner, not anymore! You will now have even more storage space in the car that already have so much storage space.

 2. Dog Mode

This feature is well known as Tesla communicated a lot around it, however it might be interesting to know how to create it. 

So simply open the climate control tab and on the left of the screen and you will see a dog icon on the right, simply click on it to active it. It will launches as soon as get off your car and lock it.

3. Camp Mode

This feature is also well known as Tesla communicated a lot around it.
But how to simply start it in a few tap ?
So simply open the climate control tab and on the right side of the screen you will see a camp icon right under the dog one and simply click on it to active it. It will automatically be launched. 

Camp mode is an easy way to save money! Traveling in your Tesla but far away from your destination? No need to check into a hotel, simply switch on Camp Mode for an overnight nap in Camp Mode. And to avoid the bright morning light, it goes perfectly with the Jowua sunshades.

4. Trunk Storage Bins Secret

Did you know that the side storage present in the back of the Tesla Model Y can be transformed into hidden compartments ?

7. Replace Lock Sounds 

Changing the Lock Sound is one of the funniest thing to do in your Tesla. To edit this feature you need to access the Toybox--> Boombox. 8. Replace Horn Sound

This is also a funny option, that may not be too useful but that can set the mood right in an instant (Especially when you forget that you active it!).  To edit this feature you need to access the Toybox--> Boombox and you can choose from a range of different sounds that goes from badass to funny.

9.⁠ ⁠Bioweapon Defense Mode

Tesla's Bioweapon Defense Mode is an advanced air filtration system designed to protect occupants from harmful pollutants and allergens. This is a feature take advantage of anHigh-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) that captures 99.7% of the particles as small as 0.3 micrometers

When activated, this mode creates positive pressure inside the cabin, preventing outside air from entering and filtering out particulate matter, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants. This feature is especially useful in areas with poor air quality or during allergy season, ensuring a clean and healthy cabin environment.

10.⁠ ⁠Pin to Drive & Glovebox PIN

For added security, you can activate the Pin to Drive feature, which requires a 4-digit PIN to be entered before the car can be driven. This helps prevent unauthorized use of the vehicle in the unfortunate case of someone stealing your phone and trying to drive away with your Tesla.

The Glovebox PIN features is similar as it will required a PIN code to open the Glovebox, this way is allows you to have a safe and private storage accessible from the driver seat. 

11.⁠ ⁠Remote Camera Access

By using the Tesla mobile app, you can remotely view the live feed from your car's cameras. To access it you simply need to :

On your vehicle's touchscreen :  tap ‘Controls’ > ‘Safety & Security’ > ‘View Live Camera via Mobile App’ 

Once the car setting is turned on you can access it from via the Mobile App: 
Tap ‘Security’ > ‘Sentry Mode’ > ‘View live camera.’

Small Easter Eggs 

Those smaller easter eggs are either found in the Toybox section or can be triggered by a specific voice line or tap on a button.

12. Rainbow Road 

Turn the Right Stuck down 4 times to trigger it.

The most recent version of the Tesla Model 3 Highland however do not have stalk (and future Tesla Models might not have it as well), so the rainbow road is therefore accessible from the Toybox menu.

13. Mars Map

It is accessed from the Toybox and is activated as your press the "Multi-Planetary Species" button on. Transforming the whole map into Mars and your car logo as an explorer robot.

14. Fart Noise on Different Seats

This one is not really an easter egg but rather a well known gag for every tesla owners. allowing you to maliciously play fart sounds on the seat of your choice pranking the passenger sitting there. You can also set that your car will fart on turn signals and having a fart sound played outside the car to prank pedestrians.

15. Charge-port having the Rainbow Road Colors

To unlock this hidden feature, ensure the Tesla vehicle is connected to the charger, then quickly press the button on the charger handle 10 times. If done correctly, the lights will start flashing right away.

After activation, the charge port light will fade through all the colors of the rainbow for several seconds before reverting to its normal color. 

16. Driving Santa Sleigh

This cute easter egg transform your car in Santa sleigh and other cars are now displayed as reindeer. The trigger is really simple you just have to say the infamous Ho-Ho-Ho and it will transform the car display and start to play Run Rodolph Run. You can also trigger it by going to the Toybox and manually active the Santa Mode.
