Tesla Launches Robotaxi
On June 22, the company officially launched its Robotaxi service to customers in Austin, Texas. The first group to receive early access consisted of well-known influencers in the Tesla community who documented their experiences in detail using the service. Some of them took more than 100 rides over the weekend to thoroughly test Robotaxi. So far, the service has received rave reviews from those who have used it.
The launch of Robotaxi is a major milestone for Tesla. Elon Musk has long dreamed of driverless cars that could earn money for owners while not in use. This dream has now become reality.
Tesla to Launch in India in July
Tesla has been working on entering the Indian market for several years. However, the company has constantly faced a variety of challenges, the main one being high import duties. In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about Tesla’s imminent entry into the Indian market, and several reports have now added new details.
According to Bloomberg, the manufacturer has already shipped the first batch of cars to India. It is from the factory in China, and not from the factory in Germany, as previously assumed. The report indicates that these will be Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive variants. In addition, the company is already preparing for the rollout of the Supercharger network and is sourcing parts.
According to the report, Tesla is preparing to open its first showrooms in India in mid-July this year. The first showrooms will be located in Mumbai and New Delhi.
