How To Install Reflective Rear Door Emergency Release Strap

Step 1

Slide your fingers into the sliding slot at the bottom of the left and right rear door pocket, then lift upward to remove the unlock cover.

Step 2

Hook the reflective rear door emergency strap onto the mechanical door release cable at the bottom.

Step 3

Adjust the position of the strap, then reattach the unlock cover.

In the event of a power failure

pull the reflective rear door emergency strap to mechanically open the door.

*The pulling direction of the strap varies by vehicle model:
- Model Y (2025+): Pull forward
- Model 3 (2024+) / Model Y (2021–2024): Pull upward
